Twenty-six employees of the Knox County Educational Service Center were honored for their years of service during Tuesday’s annual staff meeting breakfast to open the new school year.

Longevity awards ranged from five to 25 years.

The ESC operates preschools in Mount Vernon, Centerburg, East Knox and Fredericktown and the Learning Center, a K-12 alternative school. The ESC also screens and hires classroom aides for county school districts and the Knox Educational Service Center.

Michelle Kipp, a classroom aide at the Learning Center, was applauded for a quarter century of ESC employment.
