Hello everyone, I wanted to take a moment to reach out to each district and let you know that our first day of school is the 13th. I am sorry it is a late notice, but I believe I gave everybody a calendar at the end of last year. If you did not get our calendar, please let me know. Our question to the districts is, will your district be transporting your students to our program prior to the district's first day of school? If you are not, that is fine. I just need to be aware of who is going to come to our building the first few days of school. If you could let me know by calling the office at 740-393-6799, speaking with Delane. You may also call me at 740-504-4996; that is my cell number. Thirdly, you can email me the information if you are more comfortable doing that, and that is jmizrahi@noxesc.org.
Jones, our high school teacher on the top floor, has accumulated a lot of school supplies over the years. She has asked if she could set up a table outside her room for the entire staff to take.
She has asked whether you would consider making a monetary donation to support Meghan Curry's son. As you remember, we lost Meghan early this summer. She left behind her son, who will be cared for by an older sibling.
I understand they may have set up a
GoFundMe account for him. If you have already donated or wish not to participate, that is fine. Please take what you think you can use. Delaine will have an envelope in the office to take your donation. thank you
Hello everyone! I hope you have had a wonderful summer. I've received several messages asking about our start date. Staff will need to report for the first day on August 11th from 9-2. Dr. Mackley would like to meet with everyone that participates in the music class, time to be announced. August 12th you will report to MVNU for the annual ESC breakfast. I believe it starts at 8. Immediately following the breakfast staff will report to the KLC to finish setting up classrooms and preparing for the open house. We will be having the annual food service training at 11. Everyone is required to attend. The 13th will be the first day with students. You will be working from 7:30 to 2:30. Teachers, please reach out to any new staff members in your classroom to help them feel welcome and answer any questions they may have.

Hello everyone, Friday's windstorm may have left several of our team without hot water and electric. I would ask that each classroom check on each other to make sure that everyone is OK and safe. If there's anything to report, please don't hesitate to call Joe or message him. We have heard that several staff members may be without electricity, food, heat, and hot water. If you need a place to get warm, a meal or any other type of support, please don't hesitate to reach out. It's been reported that some will not have power until Tuesday. To make matters worse, it sounds like we could have another wind event on Monday. It's wonderful to see how our staff pulls together to help each other in times of need.
The Knox Learning Center will be closed today, Monday, February 23rd 2026. The county is under a level two snow emergency. Please be careful if you have to travel.
The Knox Learning Center will be Closed Thursday, January 29, 2026. The temperatures forecast is still not good. I would also caution you on secondary and rural roads. Some look clear and suddenly your driving on ice. The sun is not able to melt enough of the snow to help the salting and plow removal. If you have to be outside wear plenty of layers and cover any exposed skin.

The Knox Learning Center will be closed Wednesday, January 28, 2026 due to the continued low temperatures and drifting snow.

Tuesday January 27, 2026 The Knox Learning Center will be closed due to extreme cold and the ongoing cleanup from nearly 14 inches of snow across our county
For the safety of students and staff, no students or staff (other than designated emergency personnel) should report to school buildings while crews continue clearing parking lots, driveways, and sidewalks.
